Travelling Millers
Day 70. Still on Cowell, we noticed that you can get a ferry - you, caravan, people and pets - from Cowell across Spenser's Gulf. We also noticed that Sing Australia and our own Colin Slater have a branch here in Cowell!
Unable to make the ferry times work with our travel imperatives, we opted to drive via Whyalla, Port Augusta to Peterborough. Whyalla is still there, still inhabited and we saw ships in the harbour. They may of course be uplifting the refugees from the carbon tax to a safe haven.
The owner of this van park is called Neil Walker (same name as my brother). He has a beautiful Scottish Fold cat called McTavish, who welcomed us to the van park. It is also freezing! I feel very much at home here.
