Travelling Millers
Last night, we had a lovely meal at Corones Hotel. RM had a beautiful steak and me, what else but bangers and mash. This am, we set off for Barcaldine. A cool day all the way. We drove through lovely Blackall, on the Pardoo River. Also home to Jackie Howe, gun shearer. Seven hours on, we arrived at our destination and, using Camps 6, sought out the local Show ground to set up camp. This was again, a great choice! What a terrific resource for the town and for us grey nomads. We will stay two nights so that I can adequately worship at the Tree of Knowledge, birthplace of the ALP and catch up on the washing etc. A very friendly group of other grey nomads and their dogs, birds and other pets.
