"I'm probably not going to rape someone" - Dan 21st July 2012
Having just left Bangkok after two incredible nights, we are on the way to Siem Reap in Cambodia.
Rosella, Phil, Sophie and I arrived in Bangkok at about 2pm on Saturday afternoon after travelling for the best part of 24 hours. Our flight was great - the entertainment system didn't work and when we pushed the little button to get a drink nobody came.
When we arrived in Bangkok it still had the stench of rotten eggs mixed with dead cats which has been left on a radiator for decades. We checked into the hostel and went for lunch on Khao San Road, before napping in preparation for drinks later that evening. About 8pm Dan arrived and the five of us headed for some buckets on Khao San Road. Dan was constantly bothered by the middle aged local women trying to sell us 'Thai Cheap Tat'. Eventually we broke and ended up buying each other outrageous bracelets with the condition that they had to be worn until the end of our trip. We decided on the following bracelets.....
Rosella - 'I LICK MY p****
Sophie - 'I LOVE SEMEN'
Phil - 'I f*** LADY BOYS'
Josh - 'BLACK d*** IN ASS'
Dan - 'I WILL RAPE YOU' (how fitting)
That's what lead to Dan telling us that he probably won't rape anyone. Couldn't give us a definite answer to this though.
After choosing bands we decided to get Emma one for her arrival the next day. She has 'I SPREAD AIDS'.
A couple of buckets later and we had a casual stroll home at 2am, which included Dan missing the edge of the pavement and falling over (his face broke the fall though).
I woke up at 4am to the hear Dan spilling something on the floor. Nope - he had just thrown up in the middle of our room. After disappearing and returning with a mop he cleaned up after himself (well trained) and got back into bed. We woke up on Sunday at 1pm all feeling a little worse for wear.
Sunday afternoon, with Emma having arrived, we headed to MBK - a 7 floored shopping mall with AIR CON!!! Dan came up with the idea that we all have to buy a gift for one person with a budget of 20 baht (40p) and if they could wear it then they would have to do so on the night out last night. The best present was from Phil who bought a bright pink lipstick for Dan, meaning he would have to wear it out.
After buying and exchanging gifts we headed for a game of bowling. Teams were Dan & Rosella, Phil & Emma, and Sophie & Josh. Losers were to buy the winners a bucket to share when we went out in the evening. D&R won with S&J buying the drinks............no idea how they managed it because Rosella was s***!!!!!
Last night we headed out about 9pm and went for a bucket to get us back in the mood. One bucket down and what else could we do in Bangkok?!?! We headed off to a ping pong show.......which ended as more of a sex show!!!!
After the awkward moment of Rosella and brother Phil watching a man shag a woman together we definitely needed another drink so back to Khao San Road we headed.
When it came to the crucial time of 3am we had a decision to make. Do we get 4 hours sleep before our 7.30am bus or do we keep going all night? Sophie and Phil took the boring option and got a few hours kip whilst the rest of us grabbed a beer.
After beers, a quick game of 'I Have Never', a dance, watching a scrap between a few local girls on the street and having some bacon and eggs, we headed back to the hostel.
When we got up to Sophie's room there was only one way to wake her up. Dan stripped b****** naked and as she opened the door he jumped on top of her and gave her a cuddle.
That brings us to the bus journey we are now and on and I am slowly starting to really regret the all nighter!!!!
