We arrived in Bangkok yesterday with just over 24 hours before our flight home. The train journey from Chiang Mai was an experience in itself. From about 8pm a bunch of young western backpackers headed to the restaurant cart and started drinking. The staff put on cheesy 90s pop songs and the night started. It was like a club on train tracks…
So 8 weeks today we jet off to South East Asia, and whilst we are sat on luxury buses for the short 6-12 hours at a time, I will be writing all about every place that we go.
So first we fly into Bangkok, before heading east towards Cambodia. We are planning on visiting Angkor Wat at Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, before heading to Saigon, Vietnam. From Saigon we will head north, stopping off at a variety of places (still undecided where exactly) until we get to Hanoi. From…

Good to see that wherever you travel there is a level of consistency of late nights / early mornings with lots of alcohol and hangovers involved. Not to mention itesm beign stolen or lost. Good to speak to you yesterday, stay safe and have a wonderful time.
