Chilli Tuedays...
I had been desperate to go back to Cactus Jacks but it is pretty expensive so we planned to go on the $10 for all you can eat chilli night but went to work up an apetite on our Green Island tour.
Another early day, walked down to the ferry terminal and boarded our luxury 'silver' yatch which was actually unpainted gun-metal grey. Arrived at Green Island after about an hour, where we would go on our first snorkelling session, all in all we had about 3 hours in the water and saw some cool fish, including a ray but no turtles sadly.
We popped back to the boat for a glass bottom ride departing from the deck, where a marine biologist from Caversham gave us a guided tour of some of the deeper reefs - I got some awesome videos through the glass but most the pictures were blurry. The tour company then laid on a banquet of salads, pasta and cold meats which was sweets. For the afternoon we went around to the more shallow East side of the island but the reef views weren't as great, partly because there were literally 50 Chinese people splashing about in the water scary the fish away. Apparently Green Island is a massive attraction to Chinese people!
As I said we went for all you can eat chilli in the evening but it was appalling - felt bad that I dragged Nick there haha.
