Rawr. So I wrote an entire blog then accidentally deleted it. Here we go again.
Mickey- So I'll begin with last night when we went to a beach called "paradise" which was full of gay people (found out Mykonos is some kind of gay Capitol) and dancing, drinking young people. :) We had a blast dancing on the beach and swimming in the ocean and drinking (a little, a little.) ;) with the music blasting from the bar speakers. It was definitely a fun place and I loved it but not somewhere to go every night. We slept in (this has nothing to do with the partying the night before...) and went to use the wifi in the main part of our hotel. The owner of this hotel is a little man with great hair and seemed to have been a stud in his younger years. His fiancé is a lot younger and he has signed pictures with some famous Mexican actresses (that Joseph knew and was very impressed with) from his time in Mexico. This man is really a joy, he said Mexico has "too many chiefs and not enough Indians" which I didn't really get but thought could be funny if you get it. Joseph wants to add that there are a lot of Mexicans here in Mykonos, making the count 10,000 Swedes to 5 Mexicans. ;)
Viva la raza!!!!!!!
Anyway, so after making Joseph some hot milk with honey this man recommended we go to the local hospital rather than a private practice since the public hospital only charges 5 euros to see what's wrong with you. So we took a taxi and made it to the hospital with a sole doctor and his one helper. After a check up it turns out Joseph has a bacterial infection on his tonsils and he got some antibiotics for it. I'm really, really hoping that since I haven't already gotten it, my immune system is better than Josephs (ha.) and I will escape the pain he's been in. After hunting down a pharmacy open on Sunday and getting the medicine, we went on a hunt for a secluded beach I had read about. Unfortunately, we got lost a bunch and soon it was dark and cold. The walk was still a blast and we saw lots of funny, beautiful, and interesting things (check out all the pictures we uploaded to the "photo albums" it sums up a lot of our time here at Mykonos!). We walked for maybe 2-3 hours through mountains and farms. Oh! And we saw a pelican taking a bath in a water fountain, that was awesome! Its in the pictures we posted, look there! Joseph isn't in the mood to blog (still very hurting throat)... making this a very lonely blog without his viewpoints on Mykonos... sad... let me see if I can convince him anyway :)
Joseph- For some reason I miraculously "want" to blog now. Tomorrow we are going to go to Delos if weather permits, it's only gotten windier as the days go on. If not, on to Andros! oppaa.
What a lovely post :) and as clarification, Delos is a sacred little island right off of Mykonos that only allows people during the day (9-3) and has nothing but ruins on it.
More from Joseph next time, I promise!

Joe the elder Great to see the pictures---and to know that JFR is on top of that tonsil infection. We loved seeing the pelican, the white village buildings and windmills of Mykonos, and always the photos of J & M.
Birgitta Müdsam It´s so amusing to read about your adventures. I love it, and your pictures are so nice.
