Hey guys!
I think its time for an update, the only problem is the computer I'm on is so damn slow, by the time I type a word I've already finished the sentence I'm writing and so its really annoying to go back and correct it. Expect lots of errors :D
I must say while Im thinking about it, for the last few days Ive had this australian girl hanging around me. I cant get rid of her and shes not one of those hot australian girls either. Shes just so annoying! I knew as soon as I met her she was a f***ing idiot, she travelled to germany from Australia at the peak of the holiday season and then left all her baggage on a train. FOOL! Thank god shes gone to berlin now!
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Been having some texts and phone calls about people being worrried I might be dead or something. So lets just clear that up. I'm fine. Absolutely fine! I think staying in the squat freaked some people out, if they stole or killed me, it would have gone against everything these people people beleive in. They campaign for a better world, and the only way they can do that effectively is to live it. Great bunch of people, great memories!
Ive spent the last few nights at one of marias friends flats.. thanks Suzie! Had a great time, her boyfriend Felix brought some Cuban rums round the other night and we had a cuban night, cool music, cuban beer etc... Good times :D
Then last night I slept in Maria'ss apartment, I think tonight I'm sleeping at another one of her friends houses, I met her last week, she's the one that's afraid to speak english coz I might laugh at her. Lets be hoenst, Im probably going to laugh at her anyway: But I look forward to it, should be a good night :D
I've also spent the last few days talking to a polish busker. He is a fantastic guitarist, we made a sessoin today on the street. Feels so good playing music with other people again, I'd almost forgot how it felt! He likes to talk a lot though, so I've also spent many hours listening to what he thinks about the world, but I guess its a good way to pass the time. Not had much chance to busk because of the rain and the distinct lack of good busking spots in Leipzig. Nevermind, I'm surviving, thats half the fun!
Not sure what the next few days are going to bring, hopefully better weather and lots of money :D I'm leaving this place middle of next week though. I've been speaking to the people of the Hare Krishna religion, they are going on tour to southern Europe and I figure it will be safer and cheaper to travel with them. I also want to question them on their beliefs and perhaps learn something from them. I'll keep ya updated.
I think the evenings are getting colder here, so it feels pretty good right now to be sat in the warmth of the internet cafe. Not sure what to do afterwards, Maria mentioned something earlier about eating spaghetti round one her friends houses. Free food, sounds good to me! Just waiting for the text as to when and where its all kicking off. Haha! Brilliant! In the internet cafe, right now they are playing U2, beautiful day! Couldn't bew more true, had great weather and some good hours of conversation, what more could you want when writing up a summary of your life so far!
The protest was quite interesting, a few people there I knew from staying at the squat. We had flags and banners and a procession car with a dude playing some live keyboard music. We marched through the whole town and eventually stopped at some meeting place/ square. It involved a lot of chanting and handing out of leaflets to make people aware of what Orwell predicted in "1984". Overall, good experience, definately something to add as one of my conversation pieces :D
Hope you guys are gaving as much fun in England :p
