Just a short one for tonight,
Been having a great time with Maria's friends, met some really cool people. It's a great mix, we all seem to have one common interest that is music. It doesn't matter what languageyou speak, we can all appreciate the same music and the names of the bands never change! It's awesome! Like cheese toastie aweseome!
The other night we went to one of the best clubs I've ever been in! They have 3 rooms, one for rock, one for britpop and one for R'n'B, it was a fantastic evening. I already new some of the guys from the Highland Games festival, which was good. I think we spent 6 hours in there and caught the first train home at 6:10... needless to say, it was a pretty long day!
It looks like this blog entry is going to be a bit longer than I initially anticipated, Maria's in the shower so I've got a bit of time to waffle on.
I'm not sure how to put this, so I'll just say it... We've just come back from choir practice..... One of Maria's friends runs it and I'm a little bit surprised to say that I enjoyed the whole thing. Had no idea what people were talking about and I was trying to sing songs in German... Which was interesting. I did my best but still think my pronunciation failed miserably haha! Luckily one of the songs they sang was Nothing Else Matters, who's ass I well and truly kicked :D
Then afterwards we went to a local restaurant to have a few glasses of Merlot and some chips. Great atmosphere, got talking to some German girl who was a bit shy with speaking English, but we managed :p
All in all, having a fantastic time, I'll definately be coming back to Germany, it's an amazing place!
One last note on the busking, not so good today, only made 15 quid and snapped a string. Gutted. Thats the same string I've snapped about 4 times now. However it did make me feel better talking to another busker who has broken 3 of his strings in the past 2 days :p
Peace
