Monday - Tanned. Sunbathed. Recovered. Jumped on the bus and arrived at Hervey Bay. We spent the evening enjoying the free wi-fi in the best hostel we've stayed in so far. The man looked amazed when we told him we were sisters, and even more amazed when he was told that I, Natasha, was the elder.
Tuesday - We walked along the beachfront for around 6km before arriving at a pier. We looked out to Fraser Island and laughed as we remembered the dingo incident. Hopped on the bus and arrived at Agnes Water 4 hours later.
Wednesday - Upon walking to a lookout, with the hope of viewing more whales and dolphins, Maria suddenly let out a high-pitched scream. I was able to make out something about a spider. Unfortunately in Maria's haste to rid herself of the smallest spider I have ever seen, she managed to lodge a splinter into her hand. I then spent the next 30 minutes, with Maria swooning, trying to remove said splinter. Following this drama I dragged Maria along a 6km beach to a headland. Reaching the headland we swiftly turned back as there was little to see apart from mud crabs. We now await our overnight bus to Airlie Beach.
We will be sailing the High Seas for the next two days. I am sure the words Huey and Ralph will be uttered alot and my face colour will rival the greenest rainforest.

Dad Try and pretend that you are Cap'n Jack Sparrow, and you may be able to send Huey and Ralph to Davy Jones' Locker. Keep the eyes fixed on a point on the horizon if in trouble. I thought you were just cruising a few islands and swimming a lot? Poor Maria, glad crisis solved. Last time she swooned on holiday was when her shampoo ran out. Hope the overnight bus isn't too bad. Another Hornets win - 3-1. Mighty Chips start this Saturday!!!
Natasha J I think the boat we are on is a poor imitation of a yacht, I have been told that sleeping on board is where the sickness sets in! I am armed with mints and travel bands. I have banned Maria from taking shampoo on our sailing trip, she will hopefully be able to concentrate on the sights and not just on the cleanliness level of her hair. Super Chips, I hope the manager doesn't find a Ray substitute. He's only 5ft 3, he comes from Italy....
Dad Gianfranco, whoa-oh! We actually got serenaded with this tune in a trattoria in Sorrento. Is it a Maxi yacht - looks more like a party boat.
Veronica I take it girls, that this sailing adventure won't resemble your super yacht dream trip round Corsica! Forget about washing your hair but make sure it is tied back when ralphing overboard. Getting ready for Sligo. The Boss is on her way! Happy sailing on the seven seas X
Haider You've made me proud Dr Tasha..knew that year of being Alcuin neighbours didn't go to waste. Seems like being accident prone runs in the family... ;)
