As a veteran buddy pass traveler I can pass along one tip. Always be polite to the gate agents. It may help you get a seat (or not) and will improve the experience for everyone.
Good luck on your journey home! Thanks so much for sharing the experiences with all of us. It has been great to ride along!

John Pate thanks so much for sharing your excellent adventure! Adventures are marvelous but coming back home is the best :)
Hugs to a most excellent Nephew!

Today was a great Father's Day! Your card made me feel like you were here, so thanks for that! I wasn't expecting anything. The radiometer is perfect! Just up my alley! I was puzzled a bit about it's operation so I did a little research. Read what I found below:
Originally designed to show the pressure exerted by light, where light bouncing off the white side of the vane would push it to rotate away from the white side. Instead, the radiometer vanes turn toward the light side and away from the dark side because of heated air. (The heat is generated from the light energy absorbed by the dark side of the vane.)
Cool cool cool!
DOn't forget, we need a picture of a mosquito!

Haha I believe you aunt Jane, It's going to be such a relief for you up there/here, and I am definitely not going to leave early it is just annoying that I can't go around and see everything I'd like to but I am definitely taking advantage of everything I'm able to do though, and I don't know about cooking because their kitchen is still in pieces but I am going to take them out to dinner my last night
Janebo
Greetings from the sub Sahara. And by that I mean it is Africa hot here. We ran some errands this afternoon and I almost swooned at one point. I felt like one of those "delicate Southern flowers" you always hear about. I am so excited to go somewhere even vaguely cooler, only 1 more week!
So if you don't get what I am trying to say, let me spell it out for you. Don't come home yet. You will likely not get this kind of opportunity and have this much free time to enjoy it for quite awhile. (that is of course if you have not worn out your welcome)
I know you may be a little homesick and we miss you loads too but trust me, if you come home early you will be kicking yourself later.
I had a thought. Why don't you cook for your hosts? Maybe you could plan a special dinner as sort of a thank you for putting up with you for so long. (kidding you of course) But I bet they would enjoy it!
Keep taking photos and sending news, we love it and you too!

Oh yea, now tell Bryan "Happy Father's Day" and also thanks so much for taking care of you like a son on this trip. I know he did!
Mom
Keep seeing the sights, honey. Same old stuff, just hotter here.
Oh my, David Dockery in tight pants, yikes!"
I hope the "literally ridiculous" mosquitoes use a dictionary when they send letters to their Mamas!
I love you, boy! mama

Haha ya aunt jane, it was funny hearing them talk about dealing with the weather but they love every second of it and have the money to fix all the little mess ups from the drive.
Ya I keep hearing about the temperature but im looking forward to a tan :)
But yay about the car!!! Ya im going to get more pictures of the outside. The mosquitos are absolutely rediculous, they are everywhere and litteraly massive, I caught one in the air by its tail today and was just looking at it while it was trying to fly away. The dogs just stay in the garage and inside
Dad
Z3 windows are fixed and front end is being rebuilt. Should be ready when you return. This weekend I'll work on the Toyota I hope. You may think it is too cold up there, but let me tell you, it is too hot down here!
Deer fence continues to work, we're picking blueberries now and also squash and suchinni. If you ave a chance, try to get some neighborhood and city shots for us. I'm also wondering about the mosquitos and dogs. Do the dogs get to stay indoors?
"The Song Remains the Same" movie was on TV again so Mom got a chance to see Led Zepplin lik you and I did. Talk about cool!
See ya!
Mom
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really glad these math problems are so easy!
"Janebo and the D" sounds like a singing group from the 70's like "Captain and Tenille". We need to get The D in his shirt with the puffy sleeves and y'all make an 8 track!
Oh, hello son! The glaciers sounds so amazing. Keep shutterbuggin'.
We are melting down here. Enjoy!
Lots of love, mama

More great pics - I especially love the kitty in the window. Too bad that is not available as an option on most vehicles!
Also the antique cars were very cool. That is some seriously brave driving - no top in a part of the world where the weather can change really fast and not always in a good way!
Be glad you are in the cold weather. Today it is supposed to be almost 100 degrees. If it's like this now I wonder what August will bring! Heat stroke most likely.
Keep the info coming. I wish Spencer was as good with his travelogue as you - so far only one email. Oh well, he'll have to fill us in when he comes home. Be good and keep having fun!
