Today we had a healthy breakfast of mago, necatirne and muesli bars and waitied for our bus to rainbow beach. Rainbow beach gets its name from the towering sand cliffs that stretch for over a kilometre along its uncrowded, coloured sands. The coloured sands are part of the aaboriginal legend that tells of yiningie- the spirit of the gods, represented by the rainbow, who was killed in a fight over a woman and crashed into the cliffs, forever colouring them with his spirits- awww, what a load of tripe!! On the way here we went through a town called Maryborough which is apparently the oldest town in aussie and the insest capital! It is also where the writer thougbup and wrote mary poppins story. It was a a pretty town but the insest factor put me off a bit but as our dirver said 'if you cant keep it in your pants, keep it in your family' haha! I went to bed at 8 and was so tired i kept the rest of the dorm up snoring!
