Sunday 10 April 2011 We set off from the luxurious Tea Bungalow for the fishing village of Mararikulam -about 56km south of Kochi! Interesting drive thru rural Southern India - more comfortable if u don't look out the front window and watch the on coming traffic!! After an hour or so we arrived at the Fishermans Village Resort .... and realized we had plummeted from the lofty heights of the Tea Bungalow!!! We changed rooms three times until Sabbie settled...

Friday 9 AprilWe arrived in Kochi after a long haul flight that seemed to take forever!! We checked into the Tea Bungalow - a beautiful old residence that dates back 100 years. It has been refurbished and is delightful. After a short recharge we decided to go shopping!!! We didn't get far .. in fact just across the road to a shop that sold many things that we found interesting!!! Sabine, I found out very quickly was a far greater shopper than me ... hard to be...
