Wednesday
We alighted the luxurious houseboat and stepped straight on to the path leading to the Emerald Isle home stay - a beautiful farm home stay - 150 years old and run by the indian decedents of the original owner.
The home is made from the most beautiful dark teak and looks very oriental in design. The bedrooms are to die for ... absolute luxury!!!
Meals are included - fantastic local cuisine ..I think I have some serious work to do at the gym when I get home.
I risked another massage ... this one was fantastic ... pure bliss ... I suggested this lady move to Australia - so whats wrong with a full time live in massuse?!!! Lol!!!
So it was a busy day ... sitting watching the river traffic in this heavenly place .. massage ... read ... dress for dinner ...well we are in India .. traveling with Britts .. one feels one must dress for dinner :)))
Then after dinner some local boys came to sing for us .. yes it's a tough holiday!!!
Yes another good day!
Thursday 14th - the days are flying by - up to watch a young fella tap a coconut tree in the front garden to collect the sap to make toddy which is a fermented alcohol drink - we had some last night - honestly - not worth climbing a tree for in my opinion!! Lol!!
While he was up the top of the palm he accidentally knocked a clay toddy pot down and just missed Jenny - it was so close we all gasped in disbelief - would have been ugly had it hit her! Don't guess standing under a coconut palm was a brilliant idea ...
Canoe ride across the backwaters - so pleasant when there are no horrible hippos to worry about :)) - then bus back to more luxury at the Tea Bungalow - we actually felt like we were returning home!!
Did battle with two ship loads of tourist - I hate those ship tourists they are so rude...
Seafood dinner .. very nice!
