So, though I like to consider myself a scholar and am here to learn about British history, life, and culture, I am still a college student and thus I enjoy a good time. For this reason I must state that London is absolutely AMAZING! Everything in the city is walking distance, and because of this, though the night life would be good on its own, the city seems just that much more friendly. Walking from pub to pub, from club to club, from street show to some other more interesting street show is fantastic and freeing, but alas is also dreadfully expensive. Also as a side note it is as if the bartenders here have eyes in the back of their head and full situation awareness, for in the thriving masses that are pushing up against their bar tops like restless cattle (I'm assuming the whole of london tries to go in the same pub at the same time), they can still tell who came in first and whom to serve first (though they make an exception for a pretty lady, but who can blame them? I would do the same). I just have to say that I was simply amazed by this.
