A pity that such a beautiful place as stonehenge had to be criss crossed by highways passing by on either side of the monument, and also a pitty at the ridiculously large number of tourists getting in the way. It is a miracle that stone henge has survived this long being roughly 4,500 years old, but none the less it seems as if the british don't honor it as they should. Yes they put ropes around the perimeter so people dont step on the remains and artifacts buried under the ground, and even with the rolling hills and sheep in the background (yes there are actually sheep, that is not some American fantasy of the UK) it still didn't seem to be given justice. But even so, with my archaeologist's bias, my heart skipped a beat or two. (Yes thats I realise that is nerdy, but there is a reason im pursuing this career)
