Je ne par le pas le francais!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is what I needed to say for these past 2 days to so many people..but I didnt remember how and I didnt want to whip out the momo cheat sheet. haha I DONT SPEAK FRENCH!!!!
So, its been a weird 2 days. its hard not knowing any1 and not speaking english! but i'm trying.......
Day 1: took the metro and had orientation and class, went for a run in the park, did hw. it was all overwhelming, but the area around parsons is real cute. has a lot of little shops and such.
Day 2: took the metro by myself, class, lunch, morrocan man incident, class.....
There are a lot of pigeons here and they get really really close to you. ewwww. i think it is because all they eat here is bread. The portions are smaller, there are amazing dessert places, and you cant get a normal size coffee. they serve it in the tiniest cup so i just switched to espresso. o jeez. its strong but wats the point in having a teaspoon of coffee?!?!?!?! And the french loveeeee CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i'm obsessive with cheese. haha brinoodle knows how obsessed i am with it. yummmmmmmmmmy.
So, My teacher got to leave early today to go to a coutoure fashion show for paris fashion week...w****. haha y didnt she take us?? Well, there are a lot of places we are going to go see for fashion so that will be cool. Then at lunch i had my first espresso and something de Pierre. haha there are a lot of things named Pierre here.
Then when i was walking back to class this man was saying something to me...and i looked at him and i was like i dont speak french. and he just said in english ooooo u dont speak french! and smiled then said that i was beautiful and asked me what my nationality was...he plays futbol (soccer) and he said in a really thick accent that he was from Morroco...i think thats what he said. he asked my for my number and i was like i dont kno it. haha cuz i dont. and its a good excuse.
Yesterday, this one french guy said something to me in line at the market and i'm assuming he asked me to marry him or that the place was really slow and crowded. i'm guessing the first one tho. and i just said yes in french cuz i had no clue what he was saying and he turned around and laughed. So, the wedding is on friday. But the market is pretty cool sans the french hubby.
French men: Now there have been french men saying bonjour to me but they are all creepy and i think they are hitting on me but i just ignore them like i do to guys in the states, but i'm not sure if its really really rude to ignore french peopel... and i assume they are hitting on me but what if theyre just syaing hi...i dont know. so until them they get the brush off.
Fashion: We are going to the dior exhibit and there is a french version of the CFDA and we are gonna meet the head honcho of that and he will speak to us!!! There are a lot of cool exhibits we are gonna go on and meet an avante gaurde designer Martin Sitbon. All very coool, lots of hw though. :(
Well, I'm not sure whatelse there is to say, its all very stressful and exhausting but all in a good way.
Bon Soir,
