Today, very sadly, we leave the Mowana Safari Lodge and travel to Zimbabwe. Sad to leave, that is, such a lovely place to stay. As a great surprise for Edward, we were collected on time (11am) and his slow education on 'African time' was set-back slightly. The jeep that took us to the Botswana border was open to the elements (warm and sunny) and we weren't sad to leave it behind at the border. Currently lying at poolside again, recovering from the brilliant game drive this morning... What an experience! We saw impala, hippo, giraffe, impala, warthog, eagles, impala, storks, crocodile, impala, buffalo, monitor lizards, impala, kudu (excellent source of biltong)n and impala. Sadly, no lion or elephant today, but hopefully we will catch a glimpse on the river cruise ina couple of hours! More later...

After a little pool time, we were off to brave the waves of the Zambezi River for our afternoon boat safari. After waking up in the night with terrific thunder and rain, we all met for an excellent breakfast and briefing for the day. Our first activity was a boat trip to Impalila Island in Namibia. We made our way to the hotel jetty and sat for a while on the large boat which is probably the evening cruise boat.
