Good Bye Thailand
Kob Khun Krap (thank you very much). My final post from the land of smiles.... It's been a wonderful two weeks and I have strangely fell for this place, which really isn't that difficult. From the genuine people, to the big cities, country side, and islands I have visited it is hard to leave. I was nervous leaving for here at first, it's a long way and a long time away from my daughter and I didn't know how I would adjust, but after a few days I fell into all Thailand has to offer and it has been a great experience.
The ride from Koh Samui back to Bangkok for my flight home involved a ferry ride, bus ride, and finally a flight into Bangkok. I have uploaded some pics from the ferry ride - more beautiful scenery.
Last day spent in Bangkok doing some shopping - lots of cheap "knock off" products here, mostly garbage - you get what you pay for. But I did find some nice clothing etc. you really have to haggle hard to get the prices down - even though it is so cheap to begin with. Problem is I can't fit much in the back pack I took ! I did get a couple of keep sakes to remind me of my trip though.
I'm going to miss it here. But it will be nice to be back home. Flight out at 6 am tomorrow following same route I took here - Bangkok - Tokyo- Washington - Toronto. 24 hours of flights, lay overs and bad airline food. Worst part of the whole experience !
Home soon ! Thank you Thailand !
