Wellington International and Domestic Airport, Wellington International Airport, Rongotai, Wellington, New Zealand
Goodbye New Zealand, it was a pleasure. Thank you for having me and treating me very well.
However, since I last blogged I have been around and seen a few needed faces :-) let me tell you about my last few weeks here. From the Webb family to an old friend I meet in America, Sahra. She introduced me to Thai food, let me watch the same Harry Potter movie 4 times in a row and welcomed me into her gym. It was so awesome to catch up with her after 2 years and meet her beautiful parents, who were so awesome to me :-) I was also able to convince Sahra to watch the Superbowl with me. I wasn't to know I would be the only one in the pub wearing a Giants jersey which sure did attract the New Yorkers :-) Go Giants :-) my gift to Sahra was showing her the world of Justin bieber through his movie 'Never say never'. I'm a proud belieber and have watched that movie a good 5 times!
From Auckland countryside to Taupo, a little 6 or so hour bus ride to Dan! Here I had an amazing time with Dan! I defs miss having him around me. Over the 2/3 days I spent with him we ate amazingly, walked up Tauhara, heard ducks laughing, burnt our toes in lake water, bathed in a warm river, sat by the lake and talked heaps about life! It was a much needed catch up. I love where he is at right now.
Moving on again from Taupo to Masterton to live my last week in NZ with the Pope family. Also a random face from home was near town so a day in the sun watching the fab Dani Wyatt beat the White ferns was a nice addition to my trip- and it was my first ever cricket game. Congrats to the England Ladies Cricket Team, keep up the good work whilst touring NZ. Which was shortly followed by the Black Caps vs South Africa. Then there was hanging with friends, eating mouth watering trifle for breakfast, watching movies. FYI- needed watch: Dale and Tucker vs Evil! A real eye opener.
The end of my trip has been emotional. I've teared up many times these past two days- I'm really not to good at goodbyes. What do you say? Well, I've done many and I still haven't mastered them. They just ain't no fun. Goodbye New Zealand. Goodbye the Petersons, the Popes, the Tuckers and the Webbs. It was lovely meeting you all and I'm sure there will be reunions. But for now California is calling me. So peace out, stay safe and I love you all!
