Today Mike, Marianne and Ian left and Alison, Jim and Neil joined. The tidal conditions made it not sensible to go anywhere so it was boat cleaning and laundry time. Javelin is looking beautiful and sparkling after the great work by the departing crew. The sun has come out and we went up the hill to do food shopping. The shops close at lunch time, but madam owner of the butchers called to us and opened especially for us. Tonight we are having pork chops from local pigs. After a post lunch snooze, I went for a swim. The water was very cold so did not stay in for long. I spent longer swimming in Studland in May. The tides are huge as the picture of the marina entrance shows. This afternoon the marina filled up with a fleet of yachts from the river Yealm near Plymouth. Tomorrow we are off to L'Aberwach.
