Oh yeah, i forgot to mention yesterday we went for a traditional Japanese meal under the Umeda sky tower which was next to a waterfall and a river, we managed to get a window seat. The starter was free and the only thing i recognised was tofu, i ordered sushi nigiri for my main course with a pint of kirin lager. Nigiri is my favourite type of sushi and is basically raw fish on top of rice, completly forgetting i was in japan and not at work in walton summit buying it from asda were you can choose if you want wasabi on it or not i was in shock after the first bite as i was not expecting it, wasabi is a japanese mustard and to be honest i do not like it haaa, but i battled through it anyway obviously. We had no idea about the dining customs but we managed to get through it ok.
We have completly mastered the Osaka train and subways now and of course they all run exactly to the second, the JR rail pass has been invaluable and we could not of got by without it we only have to pay for the subway but its only just over a pound a go.
Since being here in Osaka alot of people have been looking at my Irezumi style tattoos and some people have even asked about them as they can't believe it! This is made 20 times worse as we are in the Yakuza hometown, the looks have not been bad ones though more of curiosity, all good fun.
So after getting wasted with a young irish traveller last night until 4am we did inevitably wake up at 12 lol. My tattoo appointment was only at 3 though so was ok! The weather is above 30 again with horrific humidity, its a killer. We got a subway to Yotsubashi again and went to the Bape store whilst it was open, i bought some black on black bapes which cost 17,500 yen or around £120, end of the day i had to lol. We went around this really cool shoppin district with lots of boutiques etc with more western brands popping up like american apparel.
We arrived at Three Tides Tattoo were Ichibe was waiting for me and we got to work straight away with the designs he had done for me based on the pictures i went with, it was an original Chris Trevino design who used to work there as a special guest artist, the design he made was better than his and turned out better i was so impressed this definatly is one of the best tattoo shops in the world after all i can say that first hand now instead of hyping that i would go there.
Whilst getting it done Ichibe told us we should to go to Nikko just north of Tokyo, he said this was the most beautiful place in Japan, soo we are going to take a day trip out there free on our JR pass! haha, sweet.
We didn't really do much else that day, i didn't even end up taking many pictures as i was just having such a good time i forgot to get my camera out! We ended up walking about getting lost on purpose til the small hours, brilliant!
Tomorrow we are waking up early to check out, get the train to Hiroshima and then get on a local line to Miyajimaguchi then onto Miyajima island!
