Hi everyone, today we woke up at 9am, after being woken up at 6am and also setting our alarms for 7.30am lol. We was out by 9.30am and got the JR line train to Osaka Station, from there we travelled on the loop line to Osaka Castle, in the train station we got breakfast and i got rice with vinegered salmon, it was awesome, i'm quite glad as i nearly got a bento box which i may not of been able to of eaten in the severe humidity.
When we got to the castle we paid 600 yen to get in or £4. We got a lift to the top floor and worked our way down from there. Unfortunatly we couldn't take any pictures of the original Samurai armour that were on the 2nd and 3rd floors so Johnny decided to get dressed up in the gift shop to make up for it lol. I bought a book aswell with all the Samurai exhibitions that have been at Osaka castle to show you all what it was like.
After that we went around the gardens around the temple and headed through the Sakura gate after washing our hands, we took a few pictures of a shinto torii gate and found ourselves at a shinto shrine. Me and johnny walked in and were clearly not meant to be there but they let us in anyway amongst a mass of giggles.
We got back on the loop line to Bentencho and then caught the subway to the Osaka bay area, we walked for awhile until we got to the Osaka aquarium. We paid 2000 yen to get in or around £13. It was really busy, my favourite parts were the whale sharks and hammerhead sharks and the Japanese deeps where they had giant Japanese spider crabs, jellyfish etc. We also got to touch a couple of different species of sharks and stingrays which was cool.
We got back on the loop line after that back to Osaka station and ended up getting completly lost in the station as it is absolutly massive, we took a massive detour before ending up at the Umeda sky tower. We took a lift to 140m which felt like you were flying, at the top was an observation tower, museum about the technology progression of mankind and this weird futuristic room that was interactive with your body and your surroundings, i don't even know how to describe it but only the Japanese could of thought of it.
We went back to the hostel after this to get changed and abit of a relax. We got back on the loop line and hopped on a subway to Yotsubashi, after asking for directions in broken japanese we found three tides Osaka were i booked my tattoo for the following day with Ichibe who was worked with the likes of Louis Malloy. serious. After doing that Johnny...I found the Bape store but it was closed!
We walked down from there to Shinshabashi, the main shopping district in Osaka, literally miles of shopping street all roof covered but in a narrow alley style. We saw some Ganguro girls which i were only expecting to see in Tokyo which was cool and i've never seen so many fashionable people in my life.
We accidentally found ourselves in Namba the entertainment district in Osaka, with lots of neon lights etc etc. We were told to be careful around here though as the Yakuza still operate in Namba. It was pretty cool and i button bashed johnny at tekken 6.
It was quite late at this point so we went back to our hostel and ended up getting wasted with some irish guy til 4 in the morning, so big.
