This morning….omg, we had to catch 7 trains to get to Mt Fuji. But…once we got there….jesus, it was amazing, it towers of Kawaguchi-ko where we were staying, it truly is a powerful image and I can now see all the hype that surrounds it, it surpassed my expectations in every way and also there were some misty clouds around the base of the mountain that made it even better. We checked into our hotel…£300 for one night, ouch, but we got the works, we got changed straight away into our yukata. We then had dinner at 6.30pm which was fit for a Shogun, there must have been 15 plates or more you can pretty much see from my pictures how crazy it was. After dinner we went to check out everything on the floors and when on the 4th floor around 8.30pm around 30 Japanese businessmen were all heading to the bar, clearly all wasted but in typical Japanese fashion the boss introduced himself first with his number 2 stood behind him introducing himself second, they only had one girl out of the group who spoke any English so they and we used her as the interoperater, they were really nice to us and it turned out that we Architects from Tokyo on a business week end away.
They invited us to join there party in the club room… so we did. We ended up having a great time getting drunk on Asahi and Sake, by the end of the night there were about 5 naked men on the dance floor??? Haha. We did karaoke with them as well which is something I really wanted to do! We sung wonderwall by oasis and thriller as a tribute to MJ. After that we ended up getting a private Onsen thinking it was all free, the next morning at check out we got a bill for £65 hur hur, good times though. ++ major hangover when travelling to Tokyo = nice.
