Hey all

Firstly sorry if I havent replied to people's emails. Its tough to get a chance to reply but its so good to hear from you all! This could be a long update I have lots to say.

It only seems right that I start with the most exciting thing that has happened this week... I had a date. Haha a real bonefied American Date just like in the movies. Went out with her on Tuesday night to dinner at a local pub, then some putt putt then watched some TV at her place. It was good fun, especially chilling in front of a tv, that was unreal! Don't get that oppotunity a lot. But her name is sara she works in the day camp (so they dont sleep over) and she is easily the prettiest girl at camp! She is really quiet though and doesn't get a lot of my stupid jokes, so that could make things interesting will have to see how it goes. It has made camp a whole lot better though!

Yesterday was by far the best day I've had so far at camp. Everyone except a handful of specialists and about 100 seniors went to Herhey Park (an amusement park). So my day consisted of lessons with Day camp in the morning then some free swims in the afternoon. All up it was around 2 hours work. The rest of the time I spent at the lake riding the biscuits behind the jetski. I even went on the zip line which is good fun. It was a really hot day and sooo good to be able to relax for once. Can't wait for the next hershey park day which is in a few weeks.

A few other counsellors had their days off this week (including Matty P, whos is madly in love with a Canadian, it makes me sick). They all came back last night. Its weird how 2 days feels like a week. Jaymes played a prank on his co consellor that went away, they took all his possessions and hid them around camp and provided him with some cryptic clues. Some of his stuff is in our pool shed some up at the lake shed, the music room and even right at the top of the ropes course. All they left him with was 2 jumpers and a hawaiian shirt. He still hasnt found a lot of his stuff but he doesnt seem that pissed.

(This is all a bit jumbled but Im going to go to Monday now). Monday was my first late wake up. It was raioning in the morning which means we get to sleep in till 9... Best thing ever. Hershey park day I slept in till 930 even though my kids were running around screaming in the bunk. Tuesday we had a carnival at the pool. Another camp came to the pool and we had some races, it was hectic as and we were on pool deck in the sun for around 9 hours, which justified our having a relaxing hershey park day. This week has been the best thus far, but we get a whole lot of new kids this weekend so next week will be tricky. Everything starts again so the monotomy will begin again and cus we're all so used to the place we will porobably expect our kids to be at the same level and they will walk all over us.

Last but not least I've realised the best time at camp is when the kids go to bed and all the counsellors stand around talking. We're supposed to be in bed by 1215 this rarely happens. People do patrols in gators and if we get caught we could lose an early night. But that just adds to the fun, I nearly got caught last night. I was at my bunk door and a Gator stopped around 5 metres from me to answer their walkie talkie. I thought they would see me for sure but they kept going phew. I would have come up with a good story to gewt myself out of trouble. Staying out late has its down side though... Skunks! There have been a few hanging around my bunk recently and as it turns out I think I have a phobia! I am scared s***less of them, and i dont know why I guess I just dont want to get sprayed. But when I see one I freeze and if it is dark when Im walking back to my bunk I take it so slowly and freak out to any movement! I think its definitely a phobia! Cus Im not this scared about anything else.

Anyways I think I have included enough for now. Tonight I am off to hooters for a guys bday. Then Fri Sat Sun we have three nights where we cant leave camp cus of the change over of campers... Its going to be a long weekend (a bad kind though) then Monday night Im On duty so it doesnt look good for me until tuesday.
