So the Swannies play in the knock out finals tomorrow night. They ended up in 6th place. They play North Melbourne Kangaroos. Should be a good one but definately got to pick their game up for the finals.
All the keys players should be back in including Micky (been out for about 4-5 weeks), Ryan O and Goodes.
Stef

Hey Jimmy, some olympics results for u.
SWIMMING: All the gold medals (6 i think) in swimming were won by the women. Grant Hackett qualified fastest for the 1500 in the Semi's and broke a 19 yr old WR, however came 2nd in the final to a Tunisian guy.
BASKETBALL: Women's have won 5/5- they've played Latvia, Russia, Brazil, Korea and Belarus so far. Men's again not as good as the chicks ;) Won against Russia and Iran. Lost to Croatia and Argentina.
CYCLING: No medals in cycling (road) -Best place was Cadel who came 5th in the time trial and 15th in the road race. Nothing in the velodrome yet (but races are still going).
WATER POLO: Men's won against Greece and Canada. Lost against Spain and Hungary (both losses were by 1 point). Women's won against Greece and Netherlands, and tied with Hungary.
HOCKEY: Mens have won 3/3 against Canada (6-1) South Africa (10-0) and Pakistan (3-1). Women's won against Spain, Korea, Sth Africa and lost to Netherlands (2-1).
Also, the Swannies lost yday against Geelong 133-94.
Eels play West Tigers tmrw.

These sports update messages are getting more depressing each week.
Swans - down by 16 fighting to stay in top 4. Wallabies - flogged by All Blacks. They gave us a good lesson in how to play attacking rugby. Never in the game now up to 22 years since we had a win at Eden Park in Auckland and extends Tri-nations away loosing streak to 15 games. Eels are away to Newcastle tonight and both fighting to stay in top 8. Sonny (Money) Bill Williams still on the run not sure whats happening with him I'm over it because its been the lead news story for over a week. Opals have had a good lead up to the Olympics and are looking strong. Boomers?? - Bogut is good but not good enough to carry them all the way.
Stay safe - talk soon. Moving day Thursday!!
Daddy
Mate,
Despite all the complaints in the blog the photos seem to tell a different story. Lazing about the pool or down at the pond or out roller skating or playing ball games and every second photo has a different girl in a bikini. Doesn't look as tough as you make it out to be.
Sports update Biggest news Sunny Bill has left Aus. He jumped on a plane to play Rugby in France. Just up and left. Needless to say The Dogs are spewin' NRL say he'll never play in Aus again They are all trying to stop him from playing anything anywhere. He won't last a game playing rugby too soft in the shoulders and knees. Eels unconvincing winners agains North Qld - still in it just. Storm went down to Warriors - leaves manly at top but still close all round the top 8. Swans had a bad one, Micky O and Leapin' Leo were out and others, so Barry came back - not sure of the score all I saw was that they out kicked whoever it was they were playing but couldn't get between the big sticks.
You probably heard that cadel came second again, bad luck. But Go The Wallabies - hope you saw some of that. Big strong win fast hard great game - can't wait for the rematch from NZ next Sat. Thats enough for now
Daddy
There's good news and not so good news in the sports results.
Eels are pretty much gone - put up a good first half but had nothing in the end against Manly. Well out of the 8 and not much in front of North Qld who they play on Friday night. Should win that one.
Cadel dropped back to 3rd. Haven't heard the full account of the leg but I wouldn't say that he's out of it.
Despite a 2 stroke lead going into the final round of the British open THE SHARK believe it or not choked again to come equal third. At least as he said himself it wasn't as bad a choke as he's had before and he was as much surprised as anybody that he was that close.
The mighty (new heart attack Kings) Swans came from way behind to do Carlton 121 - 119 still in top 4.
Wallabies had agreat win against the 'Boks. Really good game hope you saw some of it. Bring on the All Blacks Saturday 7.30 our time.

Pilgrim paradise is going really well here at St Micks. saw the pope today, (onTV too many pilgrims in the city to go there). Made some connections for you in Louissiana in the south, they loves us here and can't wait for you and your friends to come visit. They are the most friendly people I have ever met. They are cooking Gumbo for us on sunday night (not sure what it is). They also have relatives all over the place so I will get addresses and numbers for you. Been pretty busy at school so i will have to call you next week when we are back at school and life is back to normal. ha ha, so much for holidays. luv ya heaps.

Hey Jimmy!
I dont understand how Tour de France works, but Cadel Evans is still in the yellow jersey lol, and its at stage 10 right now (i googled it for u!).
Unfortunately Parra are playing Manly this w/e at Manly, so this might save ur dad a msg with those results..manly are 1st on the ladder, and smashed sharkies 34-6 last w/e- and sharks are coming 3rd! So they're doing well! Parra are 10th, but the board is v.close, and still 8 rounds left.
On other news, considering how religious u are *note sarcasm* the Pope is in Australia for World Youth Day. Theres heaps of kids from o/s here at the moment, feels like teh olympics.. xcept, not that exciting lol..
Anyways, thats enough from me,
Take care, stay safe!
Daddy
My maths skills are getting better - I didn't have to use the calculator to Solve the sum this time!! 2 + 4 = 6
Hope you had better week last week, mind you the sports update this week won't help much. Eels fell to a rampaging Rabbitohs who are on a 5 game winning run, Swans were pretty woefull against Hawthorn and never in it. Both have fairly bad runs from here for the next few rounds. Eels have slipped to 10 or thereabouts Swans have dropped out of top 4 (I think). Wallabies play first game of Tri nations next week - should be good.
