Hello again you hard working friends overseas!
I have been pretty lazy and laidback so it has taken me a while to update whats happening to me over here. I´ve already visited Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour before coming to Byron Bay. Both of them were quiet small towns with people waiting for heaven. Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay. Port Macquarie was beautiful, but after two days -of which the other day I stayed inside because of the HEAVY rain which caused flooding- I couldnt think of anything else to do. I saw the beaches and the small town, experienced a bit of the wildlife, while living next to the jungle ( turkeys running in and out of the house), so I left for Coffs Harbour.
Coffs Harbour was very beautiful with great mountains surrounding the town and dolphins swimming in the harbour. I went to the beach and saw the big banana - the hit tourist attraction in Coffs- which probably tells everything...so I left for Byron Bay.
For Byron Bay I didnt have much expectations even after all of my friends told me so much good stuff about it. Maybe exactly because of that I felt that it would be a huge tourist town with scumbags getting wasted every night and doing nothing smart. And that It´d be ugly. I got suspicious... but for no reason. Byron Bay is lovely, extravagantly beautiful and the people are extremely kind and laidback. I like this place and I intend to stay here at least for around a week. I´ve already experienced the surf here, it wasn´t the best day for surfing, but just the vibe got me going! Hopefully I will be able to gather a certain amount of money from my account and complete a PADI diving course. After all, this is one of the best spots in the wolrd for diving.
Dont ask me what the date it is, what day it is, or what time it is. Here it makes no difference, so why should I know?
