G'day!
Cronulla was great. Got to hang out with Felicity and we had a great time going around cronulla's bars and beaches and the city too. The highlights of my visit there was definitely the sand dunes and Felicity's mom. A thank you is in place i suppose, she did all my laundry and they fed me and gave me a lift when I needed it. So: Thank you!
Also I saw Valentin, friend of mine who I met at Bondi. We had a laugh and he filled my new mp3 player with awesome music! Fantastic! and that was perfect timing, as I decided to move on again. I packed my stuff, haing some trouble trying to fit everything in my bag.. which is in a way weird, because I had the same amount of stuff with me when I last packed it. Oh well, I did it in the end so no dramas.
I took the train to pennant hills after spending an exciting afternoon with Riccardo, the italian. There my chariot was waiting for me to drive me to Newcastle. It wasnt as bad as I feared. I was close to collapsing because of being so nervous and excited. Not really, I was just dancing to my music valentin gave me. Awesome! Rhys and I chattered away for the whole two hours and finally got to our destination where I did actually collapse on the sofa and dreamt away.
The guys are fighter pilots and wake up early in the morning to go to work. So it was the first morning in months that I woke up so early. I've gone to sleep many times at six seven o'clock in the morning, but no, this was new.
I had the day to myself and decided to walk around and see what Newcastle looks like, but the problem was I didnt have a map and couldnt remember Rhys' directions he gave me. So I just walked and trusted my instincts to find my way back. And I did. Didnt see much though, I'll try again today. I found the beach and it was really windy, almost a bit cold. I decided to test my skills on running on the beach. Worked out well and felt really fresh by the time the guys got back from work.
I bet ya my ass, my brother, you'd like to hear the stories they tell after work. Fascinating! Rhys and Jarrin wanted to go to the trivia at their local and I joined them even though I havent used my brain for some time now. I think it still exists, though. And I must say, I was of help when the AUSSIES didnt know which cricketer is the host of rexonas greatest athelete! I was feeling pretty clever then, yeah! Ricky Ponting of course! Now, some of you might be thinking, how did she know that?! Easy, every girl would stop flipping the tv channels when she sees hot blokes working out, na?
Today I was supposed to go to the Hunter Valley wineries, but again I woke up too early. I have a really comfy bed! I think i'll book it for tomorrow then and today I will finally go to the "center" of this cute city. It's funny how this feels like a small city, but really it's the size of Helsinki, which I can tell you has felt a bit too big at times. I guess Sydney is just too great. Size wise.
