Our first tour was on Thursday, April 4th. The Classic Rome tour included the Church of St. Peter in Chains, this is the location that Peter was kept in chains (imprisoned), the chains that apparently bound Peter are on display here, also saw an amazing statue of Moses by Michelangelo, Piazza (square or plaza) Venezia, and Piazza Del Campidoglio designed by Michelangelo. Then we walked to the Colosseum (Colosseo) or Ampitheatrum Flavium (Anfiteatro Flavio). Back on the bus a drove by Circus Maximus and Aventino Hill. Ended the tour with viewing the Roman Forum from a walkway above, did not go down through it. We stopped our tour there and we walked home, across the Tiber River by way of Tiber Island. Winding our way through different alleys, and streets, we found a nice place to eat outside. Mom had Shrimp and I had purple cabbage with something, pretty sure it was grilled pieces of cheese. Was excellent food, must have liked it, ate it all. A nice walk back to the apartment to end an amazing day.
