Early start today as me and Katie were getting picked up for our "home and away tour" from circular quay at 9am.

We were ushered into a minibus with our friendly tour guide Ross (who had quite a phlegmy cough which made me feel a bit sick) and picked up two other couples before heading out of the city and to palm beach, summer bay to home and away fans!

When we were informed that they were filming on the beach today a rush of excitement ran through the rusted old minibus! We stopped along the way at some viewpoints and took the scenic route where we were shown the venue of Nicole kidman and Keith urbans wedding as well as some filming sites used on home and away from the flat which house Martha to the courthouse where Kane was sentenced (no I don't know anything about these story lines either!)

We arrived and watched some filming on the beach before some cheesy shots by the surf club and even got a glimpse of alf Stewart tucking into a pasta salad lunch (WOW) learnt that alf is australias longest serving soap character, second in the world only too our very own ken barlow!

Before departing "the bay" we got to see Irene shooting a seen and had a few pics with some current stars although we weren't quite sure who they were!

Headed back to the city and had drink with Sam who I volunteered with in Peru, the world gets seriously smaller once you start travelling around it!

Packing tonight before heading to Byron bay tomorrow!
