Sorry for the delay, have been rather busy skiing and what not. The past few weeks have been fairly fun, though watching arsenal getting destroyed by Messi was something that I regret missing skiing for. The house has become a silent abode after everyone decided that playing computer games is still cool even at 19, or 26 for Jack whom I believe to be addicted to Super Mario 64. Yesterday we did our avalanche-training day, which was to put it kindly, a complete waste of time. We learnt how to use a transmitter (something you could learn in a shop when buying) and how to dig! Whoever can't dig by now must be a complete retard but that must tell you a lot about skiers like myself. We did manage to find fun for ourselves despite this, using our shovels as great snow fighting tools. Last night was also rather ridiculous, waiting in a queue for around an hour to get into Buffalo Bill's club just to decide that I had neither the energy nor money to bother going in. Today though was more exciting though as we had our freestyle day after a huge 20cm of new snow the night before. Normally I am not a fan of loads of powder as you can't carve the crap out of it but today I was rather taken aback by the amount of fun I had going down some of the best runs we've had all season. My day was cut short though by my legs feeling rather caned due to heavy gym the day before. Although that makes me sound as if I've been gyming loads I actually haven't done all that much over the past few weeks, reverting to my new hobby of skipping. To some this may sound "gay" but the trained eye will know that skipping is the exercise of champions, ask Mohammed Ali or another famous boxer. On that note I have also started boxing at the gym too and if anyone wants to realize how unfit they are, have a go on a punchbag.
I have finally learnt how to clean all of my clothes and after weeks of going commando I feel rather awkward finally wearing underwear again. That being said it was something I had to do, not just for me but everyone in the house.
In the Harrison Smith Financial Times the top story is that I had to buy some new gloves the other day due to having a hole in my old ones, burning a £45 shape into my wallet. Normally that would be deemed okay but due to hefty prices on food and drink it hasn't been an especially welcomed acquisition. I've also found myself with a new daunting problem, that of a forthcoming addiction to caffeine, something that could, if not controlled, leave me bankrupt.
Starting to get excited to get on the beach after 2 months of snow, but mainly excited to see the guys coming to meet me in Vancouver in a month today!
