Another massive piece of controversy struck Whistler on Monday March 1st when I was rejected entry into the Playboy Mansion night at Garfs. There was intense disappointment throughout British Columbia - my sadness could be felt for miles around the area, to some extent like a small nuclear explosion of anger and sadness. Nonetheless the silver lining is that I was fully prepared for the day to come. Tuesday March 2nd; officially 19 and able to drink in Canada, and that I did despite the somewhat twist on the evening's festivities. A much greater event was occurring. Some of you may know that it is Winter-Pride week in Whistler this week so much of the town is now run for and by old Canadian queens and dykes of all shapes and sizes. Nonetheless we managed to go out and do the night justice in the old-fashioned sense, ergo drunk lots and had a gay time, no pun intended. Chaz got up on the drums and had a pretty sick session, which came as a surprise to us as he was pretty hammered and had never mentioned playing any sort of instrument to us before.
In terms of skiing, the course is going really well. Everyone's getting better very quickly but there are new developments. The sub plot to our course is that Blitzkrieg and Mike have started an international ski feud, with ex German National team ski skills going head-to-head against the highest Canadian ski instructor authority. The outcome is uncertain but I can only speculate that there will be many deaths. More to come on this matter.
So I have got a few photos for y'all to see finally, sorry for the wait. Will be back soon.
