Hi all!!
Right first off I'd like to say I'm not being ignorant to people who leave me messages on facebook and I'm not replying, the internet is just SO slow it takes too long to even try! :( Thank you for them though I appreciate it :)
So we got back from Baltimore last night at about 9pm and it was an awesome trip! We set off on Tuesday morning at 9am and arrived ther at 1pm in the afternoon. As soon as we got there we had a tour of the Camden Yards baseball stadium which was really cool because I've never been to a proper one before. Afterwards we went to check into the hotel and had an hour or so to get ready before a dinner cruise. Our hotel was gorgeous and well posh, it was a Crowne Plaza hotel. The dinner cruise was so much fun! We set off on it at about 7pm and didn't dock again until 10pm. They had a buffet style meal which was really nice and then they had a DJ so it was a bit like being at a wedding, we didn't have to watch the kids too closely either because it wasn't like they could go anywhere off the boat! Me and Bekki even went into the steering room (what is this called?!) of the boat and had our photo 'driving' the boat haha! When we got back that first night we all went to bed pretty quickly because we were so tired from so long on the coach.
Wednesday we got up about 7:30am and had breakfast before setting off for Six Flags amusement park which I LOVED! I took around a group of 6 of my campers (the ones who wanted to do all the rides) and we went with a group of boys and their counselor. It was good because this meant we got to do every ride but I had to keep paying a dollar for a locker each time because one of my girls had to carry a bag with her epipen and inhaler in, it was worth it though the rides were so good! We stayed at the park until about 8pm and had a BBQ there. There was a Disney singer called Raven at the park so we took a few of the girls to go and see her perform because they were all so excited haha. Again we went to bed at like 10pm that night from being so tired, we didn't take any time off for the whole 3 days so we needed our sleep!
Yesterday we went to the harbour of Baltimore so it was our first chance to actually see the city properly which was good. We went to an aquarium which I loved, the kids spent the whole time making fun of how into it I was reading every sign! Then we went on a duck tour (I didn't realise other places except Liverpool had them!) and we saw the city that way which was cool. We had our lunch in the ESPN centre which the boys all loved. We left to travel home at about 4pm and didn't get back until 9pm after stopping for dinner at pizza hut so it was a long day!
Today is a lazy day and Gail told me I could get my girls up at 10:30am and let them eat breakfast in the senior lounge and watch a film. I've just left them their with my co-counselor India while I take a break and then we have lunch and a pool party. Loads of us are off tonight so we're either going camping or staying in a hotel if the weather isn't so good, I'm excited to get away from camp for a night even though I've only been back for one night!
Anyway I'd better go collect the girls for lunch! I'll speak to you all soon :)
Love Hannah xxx
