06.06.10 NZ - Queenstown boarding and the Job
So guess what?! I got a job. I will be working at Queenstown park luxury boutique hotel from 25th June. I can't wait. I will be working in an entry level position at first whilst also training on all the duty manager responsibilities with a view to leaving me in charge at some point - argh! It is fabulous, he showed me round and it's the sort of place that I would love to stay. I will be paid $14 an hour which I'm happy with. We are off out tonight to celebrate!!!
In other news, we went snowboarding yesterday. Only part of the mountain was open as there hasn't really been enough snow though it is snowing as we speak which is quite exciting. The runs were quite short though they were good fun. I'm much better than I remembered which is nice and got some good runs in. As we were there at the opening we had champagne just before we went up the lift which I needed for a bit of Dutch courage. It is nothing like Europe as you can pretty much go wherever you like. There are trail maps but it's pretty relaxed. Adam is going again tomorrow though I'm going to wait till Tuesday when it has stopped snowing and the sun is out. The views from the top were sensational but you really can't capture it. Take a look.
Lots of love
