Our season snowboarding in NZ 2010
Well we can't really believe it but the season is over and we've had a blast. Coronet Peak mountain opened on 5th June and we were there for the opening with champagne in hand as we headed up the lift, there had been fresh snow and everyone was excited. The season had got off to a good start. Then there was my accident with the most dangerous item on the slopes, the chair lift and Ayumi discovering toes as well as heels! The Remarkables opened on 19th June where the guys headed up again for the opening and I ventured up on 20th. We discovered the park and the longer more free runs at The Remarks. Then came Adam's bruise… We have all been up night riding as well which was on Friday and Saturdays at Coronet Peak which proved to be a giggle. Adam has progressed loads and jumped the house in the Burton Stash, does butters and 360s all over the place. As for me I made a few very small jumps and am still pleased when I make it all the way down without falling over. My boss was awesome and let me have the day off when it snowed and we had what is widely known as an epic powder day. I had my bad fall near the end of the season where I cracked a rib and blacked my eye but not until I'd broken my finger. It's a dangerous sport but we've had such a great time. The season was even extended on account of amazing snow and closed its doors on 10th October. Thank you mountains, we will miss you muchly xxx
