This is our last day in Paris. The last few days we have celebrated Stelle's 20th birthday, visited the inside of Notre Dame, visited Invalides which is a war museum & also has sections dedicated to Napolean & Charles De Gaulle both who seem pretty famous in this part of the world & last night saw the ballet at Opera Garnier.

Hi Susie & Shane,
Sorry to hear you have the flu. Hope you get lots of rest to recover. How was the conference & did you catch up with Grace whilst on the big island?
We are hearing lots about the terrible state Tassie is in from people back home. Glad you will be a voice on Saturday.
Estelle is pretty decided she will go to Newcastle next year.
Thinking of you guys lots & hoping you are doing ok.
Thanks for your message.
Gaylene & John xx

Hi it looks like you are still having a wonderful time, we are enjoying catching up with your blogs. I'm home from my conference in Qld but not happy bacause have had flu for the whole week I've been home, and have wasted a week of my holidays. We are having a community rally on Saturday because the government has cut 28 million from the health budget which means closing 60 "full" beds at the LGH, and stopping elective surgery!!! They are offering redundancies and not renewing temporary contracts in a health system that is already short staffed!! Estelle would be wise not to do medicine at UTAS as these cuts will put accreditation for medical training programs at risk in the future.
Keep the updates coming
Susie and Shane xx

That is stunning, received your postcard yesterday, and yes to spend the rest of your days travelling is a good idea. although I think there will be work for you when you get back. Lucky you have a permanent day already as casual staff have been told there is no work because of the health cuts. The weather is getting better here and I am enjoying the garden. Keep on enjoying every moment and thanks so much for sharing it with us. xx

Hi Yvonne & Martin,
Great to hear from you! We are currently in Positano which is stunning. We stayed inside the entrance to Juliet's balcony just opposite the window. It was beautiful at night when no one was in the courtyard. During the day when we were in the apartment it was interesting people watching! However mostly we were out & about. When we returned in the evening it was so funny when people trying to get photos through the gate begged us to take photos inside for them. We discussed a business of making money for this!
Fiesole was so beautiful. Out of the rat race of Florence. What amazing views from up there. We walked down the hill a fair way to catch the bus, views to die for.
Look forward to catching up & swapping wonderful memories when we return.

We have been following but not commenting so thought I should write something so you know we are still here leading the boring life. Love what you showed of Verona and so agree with how wonderful it is. Will be nice to spend more time there with Estelle. Was your accommodation just outside the entrance to Juliets Balcony? We stayed at a caravan park up in Fiesole - Florence right on top of the hill great view and sunset.

It must be great to have your gorgeous Estelle around and to translate as well. Knowing your way around with Estelle must make it such a different experience it must almost be like being with a local. Have you met the children so you can diagnose the one with aspergers!! We did not get time to go to Monets garden, please post some photos. By the way Ros Wilson is retiring in december - hope that means an opening for a job for you. Cheers Yx
