Arrived in Paris following a few days in both Singapore & Dubai. Enjoyed the different cultures & Singapore included a history river cruise, trip to the zoo & high tea at Raffles. The following day we went to the amazing merina bay sands for a view of Singapore. Enjoyed the balmy weather & the late night culture of eating, wandering etc. For anyone who hasn't been we thought Singapore was well worth a stop over for a few days. They have a city so well planned, immaculately clean & consistently warm temperatures which we enjoyed.Dubai hovered around 43deg! Like stepping into an oven really. Can't be out in it for more than a few minutes. We loved the old area & it was like stepping back in time. We also toured the new area which is something out of a different world. That said, hundreds of building sites empty of action so nothing much happening since GFC.We did a desert tour which included adrenaline fueled 4 wheel driving over sand dunes. Following an hours driving into the desert a beautiful evening complete with a bedouin campsite, Arabic food, belly dancer & some great company with a German couple on their honeymoon who we sat with. The desert sunset was something to remember. We have a couple of days when we come back in Dubai which will be great as weather will be 30s instead of 40s so will look around souks.Arrived in Paris late on Thurs night. Stelle greeted us at our apartment & we spent many hours talking. She looks so well & happy & has become quite the little Parisian, speaking fluent french which is quite surreal for us to listen to.Yesterday we went walking in this beautiful city with Stelle, Liz & Paul. It's difficult to know where to look due to every street having such delights. Those of you who have been here will understand. We had lunch at a cafe, it was great having Stelle to translate. Estelle left to get children from school & it took us all of 20 mins to get lost. No drama, just called Stelle for directions.Last night we wandered for a few hours amongst the crowds which are out till late. Walked from louvre to Arc di triumph. Our first view at night & mesmerizing.Today we meet Stelle & head to monet's garden.

yvonnw It must be great to have your gorgeous Estelle around and to translate as well. Knowing your way around with Estelle must make it such a different experience it must almost be like being with a local. Have you met the children so you can diagnose the one with aspergers!! We did not get time to go to Monets garden, please post some photos. By the way Ros Wilson is retiring in december - hope that means an opening for a job for you. Cheers Yx
