We had a fairly low key day today. Stelle stayed the night & we went to her village to see where she has been living the past 3 mths. A very quaint village with a chateau as seen in the photos. The photos of the village & Estelle by the lake are from her area & also the chateau is in her village. This afternoon we went to visit a garden which I had sighted on the bus tour which I had to revisit! These are the photos of the garden at the Hotel de Invalides. Beautiful gardens, the hotel is actually a hospital for returned service men & women. Such amazingly peaceful gardens which would be therapeutic for anyone who is ill.

It got very warm this afternoon which seems to be a theme. The days heat up reaching a peak at around 4pm & balmy into the evening. We joined the locals at a little restaurant around the corner from our apartment which was great. We love the atmosphere of the evening with all the little streets filled with people sitting having a drink or dinner late into the evening.

Liz & Paul spent the day at the Louvre & were heading back tonight. No doubt they will have lots to tell.

Could easily spent a month here. So much to see & do & just living like the locals would be a great holiday without all the touristy activities.

The Parisian women are beautiful. Still haven't worked out why they are so thin. Lots smoke so maybe that is part of it however I'm sure it's the genes. They dress in stunning clothes.
