Woke up to find a very polite note from an anonymous neighbor who apparently was not very keen on how I parked my car, apparently he/she belonged to a certain flock of animals and thought I was the same. Did not want to start my day on a bad note so just decided to ignore ignorance and go on with my day just as planned.
A day at el rancho! Cedars rodeo stampede. We came to Beirut to attend a rodeo stampede, can you believe it? The site was full of 5 stars hotel teepees**, private cabins, bulls, old chariots, cowboys and native north american... The restaurant's menu had grade AA organic ribs and steaks imported right out of the Calgary stampede... Lunch was delicious and fun with the family, Nathan was glued to the trio Michelle Juliana and grande Maman Fafi, to their joy of course.
Robert commented on the sight of a typical Lebanese family, mom dad child and the maid that is doing it all, from feeding the kid while mom is busy on her BB or iPhone or taking them to all play areas... Sad, how will this generation have any affection? At least to their parents?
Lunch and after lunch combo (horse back riding included) was a good recipe for a long nap.
Rob's family celebrated birthdays celebration for Ernest (his bro), Tony (his cousin) and himself at the typical dance and eat while you're drinking and smoking the narguila restaurant! Nathan had a blast from eating fries until the chocolate cake dessert with the accompanied band playing a happy birthday tune.
At 11pm, on the way home, with the three of us, he was still singing I don't know what tunes in his booster seat***...
Just before Midnight, while parking the car, I politely planted back the very polite note on the windshield of my anonymous neighbor...
As I attempted to sleep, after having 2 breakfasts, one large lunch that I could not finish, multiple dinners and a large birthday chocolate cake all in one day, I was ready to take on the battle of acid reflux, stomach"e" ache ( as my dear Melee would add... Stomachy atchyy) and a sleepless night.
**a cowboy/butler standing there explained that those teepees were a two story 5 star hotel room equipped with air conditioning, deluxe washroom, 1 bedroom, kitchen and living...
***by lebanese standard at Nathan's age kids use a booster seat.
