Sept 2
Faced my old demon this early morning, had to get Rob, Nathan, teta and Jeddo some kneffeh, a traditional levant breakfast made of Greek cheese with crushed wheat in a mini pita loaf then dipped with sugar syrup.... So started my first day of driving in the city, the first 10 minutes were very Canadian civilized driving then old habits kicked in. I said I will TRY to avoid any negative aspect in this correspondence, and I would like to stick to my point especially now at the urge of describing my driving, I still want you to feel comfortable when you join me for a ride back home!!!!
Kneffeh was great, teta Eva gave her blessing to the good taste. Nathan did not dare try it.
It was a hot sunny day with lots of humidity... Traffic and driving consumed part of my nervous and respiratory system. If I continue at this rate it is a guaranteed recipe for a health disaster.
The peak of the day's accomplishment was seeing my sister and her new born Yoan. She looked great, like the day I last saw her except, she is not able to freely express herself now after her stroke. Of course we both hugged and cried then it was the new norm until she gains her strength after a long journey of hard work and labor.
Yoan is a sweetheart, always smiling and pleasant. He looked a lot like Michelle when she was a little baby. The trip was worth it just to see him.
