Last day in Argentina! I have really enjoyed my time in Buenos Aires and Argentina is a country that I HAVE to come back to and explore more, I didn't have enough time to see any other parts of the country.
My flight left at around midday which meant I arrived in Santiago with enough time in the afternoon to have a little wander around the town. My hostel is about a 10 minute walk from downtown so it's easy to get around. I met another kiwi - Robbie from Gisborne - the first kiwi I've seen in 3 months! I think he was a bit nervous of me after I went on and on with how happy I was to meet him. I also ran into my crazy bald guide from the Death Road in Bolivia, small world!
A Chilean guy Cris we met in Europe picked me up later in the evening and we went exploring Santiago by night. We walked around Santa Lucia and saw about 50 couples having a good pash under the hill. We had some really delicious empanadas in Bella Vista and washed it down with a really tasty Chilean beer - Escudo. Cris then drove me over to surprise another mate we hung out with in Europe who lived nearby - Pepe! He was stoked to see us, and we hung out at his home for a while. Then I was so tired I headed home and straight to bed!
