George's South American Adventure!
We woke up in our nice hostel in Ponta Pora - on the border of Brazil and Paraguay. What's really cool about this town, is that it's actually straddling both countries, so you can just wander across the street and be in Paraguay, then wander back over to Brazil. This comes in handy when you want to buy cheap electronica from the Paraguayan side which has a thriving black market.
The bus ride was around 7 hours to Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay. We arrived at night, but my first impressions of this city were all very good. It was clean and had lovely European style buildings. We checked into our awesome hotel and had a quick walk around before heading off to sleep, ready to explore tomorrow
