Waking up in a 5 star hotel is definitely more ideal than the 12 person cesspool that is my hostel room. We all went down for breakfast, so I managed to not only get a free nights accommodation, but a mean buffet breakfast that could cure even the worst hangover. I said goodbye to our good friends Marco and Mauricio, and headed back to Copacabana. It was extremely hot today so I headed down to the beach to check out some massive ghetto booties. Copacabana is the best people watching spot in the whole of Brazil. There are some really strange characters lurking about and the bum implants leave little to the imagination. Me and my pasty beer gut wandered along the beach for a bit and then got a fresh lemonade from a street stall.
By this point it was getting a bit hot, so I headed back to the hostel to have a quick nana nap as tonight was the favela party and I needed to be on form. When I woke up, I met some girls in my room who were teaching English in Buenos Aires and we headed down to hire a two person seated bike to ride along Copacabana beach front which was pretty fun! We had some dinner and then i got ready for the favela party - a massive party in the Brazilian slums.
The favela party went into the early hours of Monday morning, and was one of the best nights in town I've had!
