George's World Travels
We went horse riding today in the countryside which was really nice. Also had my first ger experience, as waiting in one for our horses to come and to have lunch.
It was a really lovely day. Bit windy but sun definately shining! Did bit of cantering around. Went by a mini forest where loads of cows were having a rest and where a river ran through, some of it still frozen. THe sun was shining off the water and ice. Was beautiful. Bit surreal with loads of cows around etc. but cool.
The last few days have been good. David and I went to the National Art Museum. Am glad I went but theres only so much paintings one can take of the Mongolian countryside!
I'm still on a high from my break through with the photos! Can't believe almost all are on here now! Is so cool. Also big relief so not quite such a big disaster if I lose the memory sticks with them on.
Got through to my mum on the phone yesterday which was really nice.
I cant really remember what Ive put on here and what I havent now!
Some new volunteers, both from UK are arriving on Wednesday, so that should be cool. Next weekend twe're going on a two day trip to a National Park (or something similar). I cant wait! Love being in the countryside!
Tomorrow all the volunteers are going to the Opera. Is very cheap, I think 5,000 Togrogs which is about 2.50p! Quite expensive in Mongolian terms, but very reasonable for all of us! Yeh, Ive never been to an Opera before. Not really the type. But all about new experiences here and also should be pretty interesting what a Mongolian Opera is like!
Bye for now
