It has been quite eventful since our last blog. We thought "hello summer" but in actual fact it was "hello tropical cyclone". We woke up in monkey Mia on Saturday to lovely weather and excitement about having a day off from the car and seeing the dolphins.... All that was about to change when we wandered down with about 100 others to the beautiful world heritage marine park to see/feed the dolphins. To start with, the dolphins were amazing, cheeky and unbelievable up close-they swim right up to all the people standing ankle deep in the serene bay. Then, 3 very lucky people are chosen to feed one of the dolphins each. Unbelievably, jack and Isabelle were chosen together to feed Piccolo!! I almost cried. It quickly composed myself to get a photo. The announcers then said the weather warning after 12pm was not good. There was a cat 1 cyclone predicted with severe wind warning and heavy rains!! Police were also recommending all campers to leave-so back to pack up and head inland with everyone else. We were not as disappointed as it seems-the kids got to feed the dolphins and we had a nice day/ evening Friday. We made it out to drive through some rain and wind and thought well, we may as well be in the car in these conditions instead of the van! We ended up last night about 120 km from today's destination, and set up camp fire and cooked some delicious pork ribs (from margie riv) on the cast iron fry pan. There was no wind or rain until about midnight. We packed up this morning and as we got back on the road, it absolutely poured and poured! We can't get a break, we thought. However, as we pulled into Coral Bay, the sun was shining upon us again and Paul has topped off a great day with our first meal-a nice big fish (a Russ we think?). Poor jack... He had 3 come off his hook. He was not a happy camper! We are here again tomorrow then head up the road to Exmouth-so a nice easy week of relaxation/fishing. Hopefully now all that cold and rain is behind us.

P.s I think we have seen more rainbows on the road than we have ever seen!!
