Things started out quite quiet today. We went to Ikea to have a look around, as my friends are in the process of having a house built, so they wanted to purchase a few items.
There was also a mall that was attached to Ikea, so, after having a couple of Chicken Hot Dogs and Chicken Curry Puffs, we headed into the mall to a clothing store to do some shopping.
I managed to purchase 2 pairs of shorts, 2 shirts, 2 pairs of swimming trunks and 3 t-shirts all for about RM249.90 which equates to about £58!
No way I could get the same in London, especially not the quality, for that price.
Sure, I could wander in to Primark in London and get similar, but it wouldn't be the same, and not everything in Primark fits me! ;-)
Anyways, after this we wandered around Ikea and did some shopping, before sitting down for a bite to eat.
After having meatballs with fries and gravy, pasta with chicken breast and chicken wings, we headed off to a friend's housewarming.
I managed to relax a bit at the housewarming while everyone was gambling. Later, we headed over to another friend's house to meet up with everyone who had gone with us to Genting Highland.
We sat around a bit, chatting and watching a DVD before heading home at about 3am!
I eventually fell into bed around 4am ...
We sure did do a lot of driving, going from one place to another. A lot of these places are quite far apart and we spend quite a bit of time on the road.
It seems the popular mode of transport here in Malaysia is the Proton, Peradua MyVi and Toyota. There are a number of other cars on the street, and there's a marked difference between the cars in Penang opposed to those in Kuala Lumpur. I saw more exotic cars like Lamborghini and Porsche in Penang than I have in Kuala Lumpur. Yet, there seem to be more Citroen, BMW, Mercedes and Toyota in Kuala Lumpur than in Penang.
We've been scooting around in a Peradua MyVi most of the time.
