Set off at 15:30pm, slightly hungover, which is excellent planning for a 27 hour coach journey from Rio to Salvador. First three hours we get two seats to ourselves and take in the views... we travel over a 14km bridge with views looking back over Rio, snice! Then we drive past miles of favela's, looking at the quality of the buildings it strikes me that Nick has been overseeing the brickwork!!! We then hit rolling hills and Brazilian forest for miles around, breathtaking sights. Set the recliner down and have a nap. 1st stop off we then realise that the coach is going to be full, locals pile on including a family with 3 young kids who turn out to scream a lot, which is nice.
A few stop offs and naps later it's only half way through.. You get the idea, 27 hours later we hit Salvador! Won't be doing another trip that size in one again, hopefully, but it's given me the chance to see the countryside of Brazil, every cloud eh
