After walking around for a while we arrive at a castle based hostel after the first one turned us away, only one bed free, after a long coach journey you need your own bed! A castle based hostel in Brazil is a bit strange but we embrace it and it's actually quite nice, for a hostel, apart from a stupid portuguese lad in the room who has a foghorn where his mouth should be, there's always one. First night we check out the local bars and sample the Danny Cipriani's (Caprinhias or however it's spelt!), they make them strong over here. End up trying to negotiate the ladder to my top bunk at 4am and spend the next day relaxing in a hammock.
Tuesday 11th, we bus it to a nearby town called Pirangi where the beaches are big and beautiful, we stroll about showing off our pasty skin and then go to view the towns big attraction... The largest cashew nut tree in the world, yes that's right! It's more of a massive bush to be honest, only about 12 feet high but it's branches span out to cover a whole block. I was thinking it was going to be this huge tall tree but I was far from it, although I can happily tick 'Worlds Biggest Cashew Tree' off the list, happy days! Retire back to the hostel and have a couple of drinks before a spot of snooze.
Wednesday 12th, hit the road again to Fortaleza, 8 hours which is pretty much a short jouney in Brazilian travel.. The coaches always have air con blasting out which can get quite cold, and then having to walk around in the heat when you get off the coach... its confusing my body, I've had a slight cold for a few days!!
