Day 30: Windjana Gorge.
After mucking around trying to find somewhere to store our van, we store it at the very place we were staying at!
So we head off up the Gibb River Rd and to our surprise it's in great condition. So fortunately there are no issues.
We arrive at Windjana Gorge and set up camp with Bruce and Annie. We are in the two tents again, bush camping. It's a great spot and it's lovely to spend this time with our friends.
The boys, and Craig and I, head off on the 6km walk up the river bed, in full anticipation of seeing heaps of freshwater crocs. And we are not disappointed. There are heaps!
The boys are beside themselves and the walk goes considerably quick with so much distraction from the crocs. We don't quite get to the end but head back as it is overcast and getting quite late (it is imperative that when bush camping you have light to cook and eat in).
Fortunately there is not much to prepare as Annie and Bruce have invited us over for a lamb roast! Who would've thought?
Another lovely day and night however is overshadowed with rain. Our first yucky weather since we left home. We hit the sheets dry, but outside it rains on and off through the night.
What does this mean for the Gibb River Rd?
