Day 45: Today is R&R and planning day. We say good bye to Anne and Bruce, and with the boys off hunting lizards, Craig and I have a coffee at the cafe in the CP. Day 44: We arrive at Tumbling Waters CP, which is just down the road from Berry Springs, set up and Harry and Darcy make us lunch. Day 43: Today we decide to drive down to the Daly River just to check it out before we commit to staying there. The area is all about the fishing and we have heard that the season hasn't been that good, plus they just had the Barra Classic there as well. Well...what a place! Day 42: Adieu to Katherine (again) as we drive a little up the highway to Edith Falls. Our plan is to check it out, have a swim, do lunch and head on to the Daly River. And what a swim it is! A huge waterhole with a short waterfall that is spilling gallons of water into the swimming hole. It's not exactly boiling, and quite windy, but it's a race to the water. Day 42: On the drive up from Edith Falls, we decide to stay at Douglas Hot Springs, as it is cheaper than a tourist park down at Daly River. We have to travel 7kms of dirt (a well maintained road), and the van does its first water crossing...which is a success!
