Day 41: Brekky done, we pack up and head to Katherine. We buy a few things from Woolies and Craig makes a trip to the Information Centre. Day 40: Sadly we leave Kununurra and head for a rest area west of Katherine. We have loved Kununurra and will miss it a lot. The idea of living in a caravan park, on a lake in a small town like Kununurra has a lot of appeal. However, the rest of our travels call for our attention, so we head off. Day 39: El Questro: Today we head off early to spend the day at some of the El Questro gorges. First stop is the Zebedee Springs. This is a lovely 750m walk into some beautiful rainforest-like bush. And at the end, lovely little pools filled with warm, crystal-clear thermal water. We spend a couple of hours here, swimming (or more like floating...not much room to swim), catching tadpoles and enjoying the water. After Zebedee, we drive to the El Questro Gorge ...

Day 38: Argyle Diamond Mine: I am up early as I have to be at the Tourist Info by 7.15am. Unfortunately it's just me for the tour to the famous diamond mine...no children under 12. I get the seat right behind the driver, and what a drive. Best seat in the house. Keith's commentary about the area is educating...such a history this area has. I am loving Kununurra more and more.

Day 37: The front passenger tyre rubbed out so we had to get a new one. Plus the tyre guys believed it was the shocks, so Craig changed the front ones. A swim and a trip to the Tourist Info, rounded out another easy day. F x
